The scene in Brownsville, Texas is alive and thriving, and Upon Your Dead Body has become one of its leading forces. The Band Consists of Duo Efrain (Guitar, Bass, Vocals) and Robert (Drums) Who joined after UYDB's Debut Album Selfish & Hollow was released. With their band name inspired by lead vocalist Efrain’s favorite Coheed and Cambria song "Once Upon Your Dead Body", the project began in early 2018 with Efrain's intention of making an emotional impact: “I use music as a way to tell my stories and to let our fans know that they’re not alone” Efrain says, outlining the group’s passion for connecting with others through songwriting and performing. Efrain and Robert’s mutual love of emo bands such as The Used and Circa Survive is what first bonded the guys, who then infused the nostalgic hooks and guitar tones of pop-punk to create their own original sound. Packed with emotional vulnerability, Efrain Released “Selfish and Hollow” in 2018 By himself which examines the real life relationships and hardships that he has experienced growing up. With a performance opening up for Craig Owens (CHIODOS, D.R.U.G.S) and a larger catalog of songs being written, the dedication of Upon Your Dead Body to become one of the biggest names in their community is recognizable and honorable.
